Itinerary
Day 1 After joining your holiday coach, head to the North Yorkshire coast with refreshment stops en-route to your festively decorated hotel for a few days of pre-Christmas cheer. 4 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast. Entertainment on some evenings, a traditional Christmas dinner (Wed), a festive gift and mince pies / tea / coffee one afternoon
Day 2 - 4 At leisure in Scarborough with 2 included excursions and one optional excursion. The North Bay and South Bay are separated by the headland on which stands the town's medieval castle. Safe beaches, cliff tops and a busy shopping centre stand only yards apart.

Medieval York
Magnificent York is a beautiful, compact riverside city famous for its Roman, Viking and Medieval heritage dating back 2000 years. Within the ancient walls and twisting atmospheric streets you will find an array of sights to discover such as the 'Shambles', iconic York Minster with its world-famous stained glass windows, Jorvik Viking Centre and a host of museums, shops, charming tea rooms and traditional pubs. There may be an opportunity for an optional guided city tour
Beverley
Head through the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds to East Riding's most attractive town, Beverley, a bustling market town (market day on Wednesdays) which is full of Georgian character, charming streets and courtyards. Enjoy an included guided visit to the landmark Gothic Beverley Minster famous for its 13th century stone carvings and stained glass.
OPTIONAL EXCURSION
Whitby - Half Day
Visit the much loved fishing town of Whitby, dominated by its cliff-top Abbey, with its quaint cobbled streets and picturesque houses standing on the steep slopes of the River Esk. The narrow streets and alleys winding down to the quays of this seafaring town still bustle as they have done for centuries. For the energetic, climb the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey and explore the beautiful ruins which tower over the town. Well known as the home port of the legendary seafarer Captain Cook, it also draws Dracula fans with its many connections to Bram Stoker. Don't forget to sample the world-beating fish and chips, fresh from the harbour
Day 5 After breakfast travel homewards arriving early/mid evening

The popular, family-run 3* Red Lea Hotel is situated in an elegant Victorian mid-terrace on Scarborough's historic South Cliff close to the Esplanade.
The 66 comfortable guestrooms feature wooden furnishings and are equipped with TV and tea / coffee making facilities. Sea-view rooms are subject to availability and supplement - please enquire.
The on-site restaurant serves tasty home-cooked meals and there is a renovated bar area.

Coach seating arrangements
Your seats on the main coach will be allocated for you in advance, taking into consideration any special requests wherever possible. Your Tour Manager or driver will advise you where to sit as you board the coach. This will be your seat for the duration of the tour. (Seats are not allocated on any connecting services to and from the main coach.)
Joining your holiday
Your final travel documents, including the exact time and place of departure, will be sent to you approximately 7 days prior to departure, providing all payments have been made. We are unable to give exact departure times before this.
Meal arrangements
Where meals are not included, your Tour Manager will ensure there are suitable stops made for you to purchase and enjoy lunch and/or dinner each day.
Triple rooms
The majority of these consist of a double bed and an extra bed that is often only suitable for children. If this is a concern, you may wish to consider booking more than one room for your group.
Special requirements
If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.
Disabled access
The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
