Plas Newydd House & Garden, Llanfairpwll, Anglesey
The traditional family home of the Marquess of Anglesey - Situated on the bank of the Menai Strait with magnificent views of Snowdonia. Elegant 18th century house by James Wyatt, contains Rex Whistler’s largest painting and an exhibition of his work. In the Military Museum are campaign relics of the 1st Marquess of Anglesey and the battle of Waterloo. Fine garden, summer terrace, woodland Walks and guided walks with our squirrel rangers. Coffee shop and second-hand bookshop. Adventure Play area. Licensed tea room. Gift Shop. Admission included. National Trust members please advise our reservations team. Returning to the hotel mid afternoon.
OPTIONAL EXCURSION- Llandudno
Stroll along Llandudno’s elegant promenade past pastel-coloured hotels and impeccably authentic seafront architecture just like Victorians did! All that’s needed to complete the picture is a frilly parasol (for the ladies) and straw boater (for the gentlemen). Llandudno’s appearance is down to the fact that, unlike most other resorts, it has remained largely unchanged for over a century. There’s a pier (the longest in Wales) and Punch and Judy, donkey rides on the beach and canopied shopping streets just behind the prom. Put simply, Llandudno is a classic of its kind. More details from your driver.
Day 5 - Travel back to interchange with a pleasant stop on the way.
